Garden Plans > 2020: Fred's Garden/Reggie's Orchard - Raised Beds & Hugelkulturs

About this Garden Plan

This garden site is the second production site for Teens Grow Greens, a local non-profit that employs high-school-aged teenagers in a nine-month-paid internship, where the teens learn life skills through hands-on experience. Produce grown at this small urban farm is used in Kids Grow Greens summer programming, where local third, fourth, and fifth grade students are mentored by TGG interns over the course of two months in the summer, providing guidance on gardening, character development, and healhy living. Surplus produce from this garden site will be sold to Braise RSA (Restaurant Supported Agriculture) to be used in restaurants that are interested in locally-sourced ingredients.
